Soft Escape reflects on my experience losing both of my parents unexpectedly, and the days following their passing. I found comfort in tracing the patterns of my grandmothers couch, which distracted me from the unexpectedness of it all, and the amount of people visiting to show support. The piece represents disassociation, grief, and the chaos that I felt in that time of my life.
